LISA BRIGHT TIEMANN STUDIO         Glass, stone and mixed media

Lisa designs and produces works in architectural and stained glass, glass and stone mosaic, and mixed media from her studio in Melrose, MA, and has created hundreds of works for public and private clients, such as Harvard University, Boston University, Watertown Public Library, Melrose Ell Pond Park, and Trinity Episcopal Church. She has had numerous shows and gallery affiliations and has been a successful recipient of several Massachusetts Cultural Council Grants.

Lisa has taught arts privately and for institutions including DeCordova Museum, Boston University, public and private school residencies, and community groups. Her particular passion is bringing people together to co-create in a context that is personally and socially meaningful, and her favorite themes promote a vibrant and sustainable environment, independent thinking and compassionate social change.

Lisa studied art primarily at L’Ecole des beaux-arts in Geneva, Switzerland, and Massachusetts College of Art, and worked with Mara Janelle and Lyn Hovey glass studios, sculptor Gregg LeFevre, and most recently Cultural Agents Initiative, integrating arts and literacy. She has also been an arts administrator and a dance and yoga teacher.
