The Melrose Arts Festival will be April 16-18, 2010 at Memorial Hall.  This popular community event is a juried fine arts and fine crafts show with 50 exhibitors.  The Preview Party on Friday Evening April 16 features live music, a fund raising raffle, hors d'oevres, and cash bar.

Melrose was settled in the 1640's, and remained a rural community for 200 years.  With the arrival of trains in the 1840's it became a desirable suburb of Boston.  The rapid expansion created the Victorian  architecture of much of Melrose, which is prized by its citizens today.
