The Melrose Arts and Cultural Association (MACA) is dedicated to encouraging the arts in Melrose, Massachusetts.  MACA sponsors Adult and Childrens Art Classes at the Milano Center, in addition to the very successful Artist Demonstration Series begun last year.  Please take a look at these offerings and join the fun!

The Melrose Arts Festival will be held April 3-5, 2009 at Memorial Hall.  This popular community event is a juried fine arts show, and includes live music, catered food and family activities.

Melrose was settled in the 1640's, and remained a rural community for 200 years.  With the arrival of trains in the 1840's it became a desirable suburb of Boston.  The rapid expansion created the Victorian  architecture of much of Melrose, which is prized by its citizens today.
