The 8th Annual Melrose Arts Festival was held at Memorial Hall Friday April 26 to Sunday April 28, 2013. This juried fine arts and fine crafts show featured 44 exhibitors and draws a large attendance from Melrose and throughout the region. The Festival included live music and catered food by Bohemian Coffee House. Once again, a very successful and popular event in our community!

The Beebe Estate is a community resource at 235 West Foster St. Each month a different art exhibit has been held for over a decade. Click here for Beebe Estate Gallery calendar for 2013. These shows feature a First Friday Opening Reception and Saturday gallery hours. Melrose was settled in the 1640's, and remained a rural community for 200 years. With the arrival of trains in the 1840's it became a desirable suburb of Boston. The rapid expansion created the Victorian ambience of much of this fine small city.
