The Melrose Arts and Cultural Association (MACA), thanks to major funding from Comcast, will once again host its annual Arts Festival at Memorial Hall (click for directions) on Sat. April 12 and Sun. April 13th. Doors open to the public from 11-5pm with free admission.
The Festival, a juried exhibition with all work available for sale, will showcase the work of over 40 regional fine artists. The two-day event will offer continuous live music throughout the day and the opportunity to relax in a decorated café setting while enjoying catering by Turner Fisheries of Melrose. Between Noon and 3pm, kids and adults alike can enjoy an activity creating a Victorian House themed handmade book!
On Friday evening April 11th, MACA will kick-off the Festival with a Preview Party also to be held at Memorial Hall from 7:30-10pm. Guests will have the opportunity to view the exhibitors work prior to the weekend show. All of the art will be available for sale that evening. There will be a fund-raising Silent Auction as one of the features of the evening. The event includes live music which is being sponsored by Music 101. There will be a cash bar. Hors d’oeuvres will offered by the Lunch Box Cafe of Malden. Tickets for the Preview Party are $15 each and are available for sale at Hourglass Gift Gallery at 458 main St. Melrose. They will also be available at the door that evening.
