The Beebe Estate Gallery, our local community-sponsored Art Gallery will feature a show in December of paintings of Melrose Victorian houses.   All local and regional artists are invited to paint “Victorian Melrose” this summer and fall and their works may be included in the  exhibit. 

Applications may be completed in MS Word (download the form below) and emailed to sdclark47@verizon.net or mailed to Luke Volpe, 7 Nowell Rd, Melrose, MA02176.

A list of streets and/or addresses will be sent to all those responding. You can also enter http://melrose.patriotproperties.com/default.asp to  access a list of all Melrose properties. On each assessment form is the year and type of house. We will consider all houses labeled as Victorian or built between 1875 and 1900 to be “Victorian-era” and therefore eligible for this show. You can paint the whole house or just a detail.  However, since we have not contacted all those who have Victorian houses, please do not go into yards unless you speak to the owner first.

There is no fee to participate, but 25% of all sales will be donated to the Beebe Estate as a contribution to the interior painting that will be done during the month of January 2009.
