Watercolor with Tom Sutherland
Especially for those who have always wanted to pick up a brush. Learn the fundamentals of watercolor in this beginning level class. Materials list available, contact sutsign@hotmail.com

Oil Painting with Tom Sutherland

Follow your Art with Kris Rodolico
This class is an introduction to the artistic process for adults wanting to put creative self-expression into their lives. Students will explore a combination of two and three dimensional art media to find what suits them best. Matieral list available. Contact www.follow-your-art.com

CLASSES FOR KIDS:

Young Artists Studio, Grades K-2 with Julie Fox
Explore the world around you through art! In this class students will be introduced to the elements of art and create exciting projects that develp skills and encourage self-expression.
12 Saturdays  9:30-10:30AM, 9/13-12/13 (no class 10/11, 11/29).  Tuition $165, Materials fee $7

Young Artists Studio, Grades 3-5 with Julie Fox
Students will have the opportunity to work with a variety of mdia with the goal of developing confidence in using tools and understanding the basic principles of art.
12 Saturdays  11:00 AM-12:30 PM, 9/13-12/13, (no class 10/11, 11/29).  Tuition $185, Materials Fee $10

I love to Draw, Grades 6-8 with Julie Fox
This class will focus on improving drawing skills and making drawings more dymnamic through lessons in composition and materials use while emphasizing creative thinking and the individual interests of each student.
12 Mondays  4:45-6:15 PM,  9/15-12/15 (no class 9/29, 10/13).  Tuition $185, Materials Fee $10

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS:

TOM SUTHERLAND has exhibited and won awards for his watercolors in several North Shore locations including the historic Beebe Estate, the Melrose Cooperative Bank and has recently exhibited a the Thatcher Island Association art show in Rockport MA. His paintings currently hang in private collections in Great Britain, the U.S. and Germany.

KRIS RODOLICO is an artist, art therapist and art facilitator with 12 years experience bringing creative art experiences to children and audlts. She has workd in school, community and treatment settings with the goal of making art expression accessible to everyone. Her preferred personal mediaums are clay, paint and stone.

JULIE FOX earned her BFA from the University of Washington. She has exhibited extensively in galleries and at fine craft shows. Before moving to Melrose in 2006 she was faculty at the Pelham Art Center in New York and was listed on the Westchester Arts Council teaching register. She currently teaches at the New Art Center in Newton MA.
